01

The standard

For every claim that matters to a purchase, we try to show who made it, where it was published, when we checked it and what is still uncertain. A manufacturer's own material tells you what the manufacturer says. It doesn't independently prove performance, suitability or total cost.

This is desk research. We read documents, product pages, price lists and regulator records; we have not tested equipment hands-on.

02

Source hierarchy

When sources disagree, we give more weight to the higher entries on this list.

  1. Current manuals, technical sheets, warranty terms, contracts and regulator records
  2. Official product, installation, service and pricing pages
  3. Named distributor or finance documents with clear territory and date
  4. Independent technical or professional guidance
  5. Owner reports and listings used as leads, then verified

Search snippets, unattributed summaries and copied specification lists are leads, not evidence.

03

Claim states

Each field on the site carries one of four labels.

Claim states
State Meaning Publication treatment
Verified field Supported by a current primary source for the named product and consistent with other sources Shown with its source and check date
Supplier claim Stated by the supplier; not yet confirmed independently or in a contract Shown with the attribution beside it
Quote only The seller does not publish a current amount Shown as a question for the written quote
Unknown The sources we reviewed don't answer the question Shown as unknown; no value is inferred

Two situations sit across these labels. When current sources disagree - a product page showing two prices, say - we show both values and leave the field unresolved until a written quote settles it. When a product has some verified fields and some gaps, each field keeps its own label, so a partly documented model is never presented as fully documented.

04

Product comparison process

First we check that two products do the same job for a buyer in the same region. Then we line up configuration, capacity, footprint, utilities, installation, price, recurring inputs, maintenance, warranty and local service. Missing critical fields lower our confidence in the comparison. We name a better option only for a stated constraint, and only when matched evidence supports it.

05

Price and ROI rules

Every public price carries a date, currency, geography, source type, and what it includes and excludes. A monthly finance payment is never turned into a cash price without the full terms. The calculators show their formulas and leave demand, price, ramp, cancellations, labor, consumables, downtime and overhead for you to enter.

06

Health and performance claims

This site covers equipment procurement, not medical advice. Health, treatment, safety and outcome claims need qualified sources and review before we repeat them. Supplier marketing is labeled as such.

07

Commercial independence and corrections

Any commercial relationship must be disclosed. Payment can't buy a better evidence label, remove an unknown field or guarantee a listing. Evidence records keep the source URL and check date. A material correction states the affected page, the old claim, the correction, the reason and the date.

08

A check date belongs to a field

Rechecking a price doesn't renew an older installation drawing, consumption test or warranty. For each changed model field we keep the source, check date, market, unit, document revision when known, and evidence label. An undated PDF has an unknown issue date even if we downloaded it today; file metadata and the year in an upload path are not publication dates.

When a source redirects, we keep both the original address and the destination. A legacy model is not assumed to match a newly named product. If a web page and a PDF disagree, we show both values and ask for the offered revision rather than picking the more convenient number.

09

How arithmetic is reviewed

We keep three things apart: the supplier's inputs, our reproducible calculation and what the result can't tell you. A calculation can expose a sum that doesn't add up, but it can't prove real consumption or demand. Connection amperage is not measured kWh. A gas-only cost is not total operating cost. Revenue minus one utility bill is not profit. The calculators start from your own assumptions and leave unknown amounts blank.

10

Current evidence correction

On October 6, 2026, the MECOTEC cryo:one+ US page confirmed two-person capacity. We had listed it as one-person; the model catalog and affected category tables were corrected. Public price records for Everest and CRYONiQ now distinguish calculator reference prices from starting prices. These corrections improve document accuracy. They don't reflect new hands-on testing or confirmation of local service.

Terms that change a buying calculation

Terms that change a buying calculation
Term What it means in this guide What it does not establish
Cooling source Refrigeration or nitrogen system supplying cold User geometry or staffing permission
User geometry Enclosure, head position and cooled region Equivalence between delivered services
Configuration Named supply, frequency, options and hardware version All units sold under the same brand
Connection rating / MCA / RLA Distinct electrical labels retained as published Measured kWh or the local utility bill
Energy kWh across a stated time and system boundary Continuous consumption from a breaker rating
Footprint Named equipment dimensions Installation clearances, delivery path or room design
Delivered paid session Completed service with modeled receipts Every resource-consuming trial or refunded receipt
Per-paid-session allocation Selected complete bill divided by paid sessions Marginal cost of the next cycle
Operating contribution Entered net receipts less entered operating costs Accounting profit or investment ROI
Month-boundary cash Calculated opening and closing balances Sufficient cash on every intra-month payment date
Published certificate copy Scope and dates printed in a reviewed document Current issuer status, all models or local permission
Research path Relevant guides and document questions Product recommendation or verified suitability

Every calculator states its boundary, currency and denominator. A blank required amount stops the calculation; a blank optional note stays unknown. Source labels you type into a calculator are kept as your notes and never upgraded to verified evidence.
